Coastal Scents 88 Piece Eye Make-up Palette
To buy or not to buy. I’ve been reading blogs and reviews here and there for the past 30 minutes. Convince me, please.
But does it really have to be out of stock?

Last Sunday, I was robbed at Body Shop. Awesome marketing, woot!
I was really just looking for a gold eye shimmer, but I ended up with this..
..the logic being, if I get the single Gold Eye Shimmer (02), it would cost me PHP 550. (No sweat, fine.) But then, this prettyful set only costs P1300. Should’ve costed me PHP 550 x 5 if I get all single colors, plus the brush. It was a pretty easy decision to make. Right? (Edit: No! LOOK! She got an 88 color eye shadow palette for only P1350!! Now I feel even more robbed. Sniff. I have to find where in the world she found that beauty! )
Well hello there, gullible self.
I never knew how to do my eye make up until I became aware that these handy, hassle-free and user-friendly eyeshadow tubes exist. (Omg, did I just describe make-up the same way I’d describe an ipod? Ack.)
Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Luminous Shadows
I got my first one (Glow Nude) from a cousin, and have been finding where in Manila I could buy more ever since. I was never really into make-ups, I didn’t know where to go. So when I was in New York and ended up one afternoon at some Victoria’s Secret shop in South Street Seaport, I just had to hoard a bunch of them to take back home.
5 colors for $20 only! Sweet!
After giving away some to friends, the ones left with me are: (Photo above, left to right) Glow Nude, Miami Ice, Too Too Pink, Copper Feel, Blutopia, and Money Baby. Miama Ice and Too Too Pink are my favorites. ![]()
One of my guilty pleasures is splurging on bed accessories, even though I still haven’t purchased the perfect bed for my condo yet, and have been sleeping in an airbed for the past three months. Sometimes, I’d spend hours walking around the home accessories section of a department store looking for cheap finds, only I end up swiping my credit card and spending way beyond budget.
Here’s one unreasonable splurge at SM Department store (sucks having to live a few blocks away from Mega Mall, ughh), and let me just say, it’s one of those impulse things — I wasn’t really planning on getting this set, but I immediately fell in love with the colors and I thought, whatdahek, I’d trade a month worth of meals just to get this beauty on my bed.
Canadian bed set includes 2 pillows (with different designs on each sides), and one fitted bed cover (P2,500/set). Bought the comforter separately (P4,500+), including another set of a plain turquoise blue sheet, and additional two plain turquoise pillow cases (P1,200/set). I also bought two throw pillow cases that catches the brown and turquoise combination (looove it!) at P100 each.
Damage: PHP 8,500. Ouchh.
It’s waaay to expensive, I know right, and not advisable if you want to be practical. So no, don’t follow my lead. ![]()
It used to be one of my least favorite dilemmas (and yes, I do have favorite dilemmas) how to keep my shoesies in order. For months, I had to hide them under my work table, or the dining table, or, scattered everywhere because my old shoe rack couldn’t hold them together anymore.
So I’ve been looking for ages for this! And last month, finally, the search ended at Our Home in Megamall.
Remember the look on Carrie Bradshaw’s face when Mr. Big showed her this huuuge step-in closet he made just for her in their Manhattan apartment (Sex and the City the Movie)?
Well, that’s *almost* the look on my face when I found this. It’s no step-in closet like hers (there’s always room in the future for a closet like that, heee), but for now, this fits my small-ish condo unit perfectly.
Since I’ve been spending a lot (with no ROI so far) on stuff I don’t necessarily need, I thought I might as well blog about them right. Not limited to fashion items, this blog will house all my favorite finds — gadgets, appliances, home accessories, clothes, shoes, bags, whathaveyou.
So yeah. Say hello to my shopping (mis)adventures!
Xoxo,
Riz
